about

About a boy who wants to live in isolation up in a tree.

lyrics

I'm just a boy

I'm just a boy livin' in a tree
I only want to be with me

I don't want to be with you
and don't want to be with them

Well I'm feellin' mighty free
Livin' high in a tree.
There's my poetry, philosophy,
and makin' my mythology.

I don't want to be with her
and don't want to be with him.

Conformity is not for me.
The gravity of society
it try's to pull me down but
I gaze beyond the sky.
Closer to; to the unforseen.

I'm not a vagabond
living off fruit trees.
My space is just a higher place.

'Cause it's a corrosive society
like a rusted Model-T.
Those wheels are going nowhere.
I just want to be.
I've got to save my sanity.
Human beings don't interest me.
.......
I only want to be with me,
why can't you just let me be,
livin' high in my tree.....
(childlike for all to see)
(dream'n just what might be)
